Table Topics Contest! ・テーブルトピックスコンテスト

The winner of our English contest is Keisuke Watanabe. Other participants were Mochida Teruyasu and Yoshihiro Inokuchi. They spoke on the topic “What do you think of TASPO?” Mr. Watanabe included an anecdote about how he went to a machine that had facial recognition to determine age. He was refused, because the machine judged his face as too young. This amusing story helped him win the contest.

日本語のコンテストの優勝者も渡辺ケイスケです。その他の参加者は持田テルヤス様と井口ヨシヒロ様。トピックは故郷はなぜ自分に大切なのかでした。渡辺さんは故郷で、人が一番大切で、ふるさとの人に会うと、昔抱えていた夢を思い出させられるといいました。

It was an active and friendly meeting tonight. But it could be better if timer sat in front of the speakers so that he or she can see the sign. All evaluators were very precise and encouraging the speakers. I am so happy to be a member of Tokyo Bilingual Toastmasters.

スピーチの内容がうまくてよかった。スピーカー（外人）論評者（日本人）の対象が鮮やかで、論評者（日本人）がもう少しゆっくり論評してあげることがバイリンガルクラブとして配慮が必要です。サンドウィッチ話法での論評ができていたがもう少し深く改善点の提示だできていれば良い。外人対日本人のバイリンガルのクラブとしての会の流れが対象的であった。.

A Word from the General Evaluator

Although there were several changes to the program, we kept the pace and energy up reasonable well. Thanks to TM Maekawa for spontaneously leading a second Table Topic session. Avoid making too many last minute changes; I know this is hard though. Honest and helpful criticism. Tonight’s meeting is a very warm and educational meeting.
